Covid-19 in Sharjah: updated safety rules for weddings and social gatherings-News

[ad_1]

Only vaccinated guests or guests who have presented a green pass in the AlHosn application can participate in such activities.

The attendance of social events held at homes in Sharjah must not exceed 50 people, and the attendance of events in the auditorium must not exceed 100 people.

There must be a four-meter social distance between people.

Wedding tents can also be organized, which can accommodate up to 200 people. Organizers must ensure that all Covid precautions are taken and social distancing is respected.

The release of the guidelines came as the Sharjah authorities updated the emirate’s Covid security agreement on Sunday.

According to the revised agreement, only vaccinated guests or guests who have presented a green pass on the AlHosn application can participate in such activities.

A senior official of the Sharjah police said that the new agreement stipulates that the duration of the ceremony shall not exceed four hours. He urged the disadvantaged groups in society-such as patients with chronic diseases, the elderly and anyone showing symptoms of disease-not to participate in social activities.

The authorities called on the public to observe precautions and wear masks. They also urge people to avoid physical greetings to protect their safety.
