The Ministry of Health announced on Monday that after extensive clinical trials and evaluations, it has approved the emergency registration of the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine for children. The management of the vaccine is based on emergency use authorization and local evaluation in compliance with approved regulations.

900 children participated in the Sinopharm Immunization Bridge Study launched in Abu Dhabi in June this year.
The study was carried out under the supervision of MoHAP, with the full consent of the parents. All young volunteers are closely monitored and taken care of at every step of the process.

The UAE is the first country in the Middle East and North Africa to conduct a vaccine effectiveness study for this age group. Other vaccine-producing countries, such as China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and India, have conducted similar clinical trials in the past few months.
