The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) said on Tuesday that the UAE has revised its guidelines for organizing parties, weddings, funerals and other gatherings at home.

At the weekly Covid-19 briefing, an NCEMA spokesperson stated that the capacity for such events should be limited to 80%, provided that the total attendance does not exceed 60 people. In addition, during the event, up to 10 people can be accommodated to provide hospitality services.

In addition, all participants should complete the vaccination within 14 days and follow the protocol according to the type of vaccine they receive. He added: “All attendees must submit negative PCR test results within 48 hours before the event date.”

“We also emphasize that there is no need to shake hands or hugs when greetings. The one-and-a-half-meter social distance norm must be observed at all times,” the official added. In addition, a table can only seat up to 10 people.

He added: “For the sake of public health, we ask residents to ask people with respiratory diseases or fever to avoid these incidents.”

The organizer must ensure that the following safety checks are carried out during the event:

> Temperature check at the entrance

> Wear a mask throughout

> Continuous disinfection and disinfection of the event venue

> Sanitary tools are available for all attendees to use at any time

> The entry process should be in order; there should be no congestion at the entrance

> Use barricades at all entry and exit points
