Within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19, more than 130,000 people have died in the UK.

According to the goal set by the British Minister of Health, Sajid Javid, by August 23, all teenagers between the ages of 16 and 17 in England will receive their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Javid said on Sunday that providing young people with the vaccine before that date will give young people of this age the necessary two weeks to build their maximum immunity before returning to school in September.

“I have asked the NHS in England to ensure that they provide all 16 and 17 year olds with the first dose of the vaccine by next Monday, August 23. This will ensure that everyone has the opportunity to get important benefits before returning to university or high school. Protection,” Javid said in a statement on Sunday.

Within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19, the United Kingdom has caused more than 130,000 deaths, the second highest number of deaths in Europe after Russia, and one of the countries with the highest number of deaths in the world.

However, the government of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has recently continued to relax Covid-19 restrictions on England. Because of the widespread promotion of vaccination, Johnson said this has largely broken the gap between infection and subsequent hospitalization and death. Link.

More than three-quarters of British adults have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, and 89% have received at least one dose.

“NHS England has launched a new online walk-in site finder to help people between 16 and 17 years old find the nearest available center. More sites will go live in the coming days and weeks,” the Ministry of Health said on Sunday .
