Covid-19: Thousands of people attend British music festival due to increase in cases-News

Government testing activities will continue without social distancing measures or without the need to wear masks.

Thousands of people flocked to the Latitude Music Festival in eastern England on Thursday, one of the largest gatherings since most coronavirus restrictions were lifted earlier this week.

This four-day festival is expected to attract about 40,000 people, while at the same time, Covid-19 cases are generally rising across the country. Music lovers who arrive on a warm summer day must prove that they have been vaccinated twice or tested negative for the disease.

“I think I would say,’If not now, when can we start again?'” 21-year-old Katie McKenna said.

“Many of us have at least received the first dose of the vaccine, so we are ready to get back to life, all the music performers have been off for a year, and they should have a festival (so) they can come back and perform there.”

Pink sheep graze on the grass, crowds walk around in huge tents, and people set up their tents before heading to the main stage to enjoy their favorite performance.

Government testing activities will continue without social distancing measures or masks. Organizers designed boundless tents and installed air purifiers in some areas to reduce the risk of virus transmission.

“All the plans are in place, all the bands are in place, people just, you know you want to come, play desperately, work desperately, and truly enjoy yourself in a field again. This is what we have to do. ,” said Melvin Ben, the founder of the festival.

The protagonists of the festival include Damon Albarn, Wolf Alice, Rudimental and The Chemical Brothers.
