So far, only UAE citizens and residents and those who are eligible for visas on arrival can enter Abu Dhabi.
Vaccinated and unvaccinated tourists from green-listed and non-green-listed destinations can now travel to Abu Dhabi. The isolation period for unvaccinated passengers has also been shortened.
In the updated travel procedures on August 14, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee stated that UAE citizens and residents and tourists can enter Abu Dhabi from abroad, effective from Sunday, August 15.
In the previous update on July 5, there was no mention of visitors. So far, only UAE citizens and residents and those who are eligible for visas on arrival can enter Abu Dhabi.
Although the precautionary regulations that vaccinated passengers must comply with have not changed except for the increase in tourists, the quarantine rules for unvaccinated people from non-green list countries have been relaxed.
“Vaccinated travelers arriving in Abu Dhabi from green list destinations must undergo PCR testing on arrival, without isolation, and undergo PCR testing on day 6. When arriving from other destinations, they must undergo PCR testing on arrival , I was quarantined for 7 days, and PCR testing was performed on the 6th day,” Abu Dhabi Government Media Office tweeted on Saturday.
The office added: “The agreement applies to UAE citizens and residents who are fully vaccinated and visitors recorded on the Alhosn app.”
“Unvaccinated citizens, residents and tourists arriving in Abu Dhabi from the green list destinations must undergo PCR testing on arrival, without isolation, and undergo PCR testing on the 6th and 9th days.”
So far, PCR testing must be performed on the 6th and 12th day.

“When arriving from other destinations, they must undergo PCR testing on arrival, isolate for 10 days, and perform PCR testing again on the 9th day.”
So far, the quarantine period is 12 days, and the PCR test is carried out on the 11th day.
As of July 31, the 31 Green Listed countries, regions and territories where people can travel to Abu Dhabi are: Albania, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Hong Kong (SAR), Hungary, Israel, Italy, Maldives, Mauritius, Moldova, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan (province of China), Ukraine and the United States.
