The head of human resources said that employers do not insist on asking potential candidates to list their vaccinations.

Job seekers in the UAE voluntarily share details of their vaccinations in their resumes when applying for jobs.

Although residents of the UAE are not required to vaccinate, both the public and private sectors encourage their employees to vaccinate for Covid-19 for the benefit of broader public safety.

The head of human resources said that employers do not insist on asking potential candidates to list their vaccination status on their resumes, but are eager to understand the status of their employees.

Vijay Gandhi, regional director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Korn Ferry, a global management consulting firm, said: “As the organization continues to discuss employee vaccination requirements, candidates voluntarily list their vaccination status on their resume and LinkedIn profile.” Years ago, candidates were more likely to post hobbies or favorite sports teams on their resumes compared to vaccinations. But as the pandemic continues, many people are arguing whether to disclose their vaccinations when they are looking for a job Situation, as a way of expressing their desire to take up positions.”

Gandhi added: “We have not seen employers in the UAE take the initiative or make it mandatory. However, it is clear that employers are increasingly wanting to know if potential candidates have the opportunity. They are tracking the vaccinations of their employees. To fill vacancies with plans, because some countries are also encouraging people to get vaccinated.”

Employers may prefer to hire vaccinated candidates to save the trouble of tracking regular PCR tests based on job requirements.” “However, we have not seen employers cancel unvaccinated. The qualifications of the candidates because this may adversely affect the organization’s inclusive efforts, as the proportion of unvaccinated minorities is too high.”

Korn Ferry International stated in a report that a LinkedIn search on August 13 (the day when the U.S. government fully approved the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine) revealed that more than 13,000 members listed themselves as vaccinated in their professional profiles vaccine.
