Covid-19: UAE remains on Britain’s red list-News

[ad_1]

From August 2nd, travelers carrying vaccines approved by the United States and the European Union will no longer need to be quarantined.

After the government conducted a travel review on July 28, the UAE remained on the UK’s list of red countries.

Passengers from countries listed in the red category must be quarantined at the hotel for 10 days upon arrival.

Alternatively, British nationals and UAE residents can stay on the list of amber or green countries for 11 days before travelling to the UK.

“If you have been to a country or region on the Red List in the past 10 days, you can only be allowed to enter the UK if you are a British or Irish national, or if you have the right of abode in the UK,” the British government stated in its Said on the website.

Number of new Covid-19 Cases in the UAE have dropped sharplyDue to the increase in public awareness, the country has increased RT-PCR screening and vaccination. Compared with the previous month, the number of new infections in the UAE in July fell by 25%.

Entry of fully vaccinated U.S. and EU tourists

From next week, the UK will now allow fully vaccinated tourists from the European Union and the United States to arrive without isolation, which is a huge and long-awaited impetus for airlines and travel companies.

From August 2nd, travelers carrying vaccines approved by the United States and the European Union will no longer need to be quarantined. The removal of the same requirement for fully vaccinated Britons returning from a medium-risk country in July will help initiate a travel recovery.

The new rules apply to England, and the decentralized governments of Scotland and Wales say they will follow suit. The British government stated that international cruise voyages may also restart from England.

Some other major and regional countries included in the red category include Bahrain, India, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar and Turkey.

The next review is expected in the middle of next week.
