UAE eases quarantine rules for Covid-positive cases. Under the latest rules, people infected with the virus only need to quarantine for five days. Close contacts will only need PCR testing if they have symptoms of Covid-19. PCR testing is recommended for close contacts from vulnerable groups, including the elderly and the determined.

This is because the UAE has relaxed most Covid safety rules. The new rules will apply from Wednesday, September 28.

Green passes on the Al Hosn app are still valid for entry to most public places and federal government department offices. However, its validity period has been increased to one month. This means that residents need to get a negative PCR test result every 30 days to keep their green card.
