Covid in the UAE: Issue a warning to prevent the spread of rumors and misinformation-News

[ad_1]

A senior official stated that the spread of misinformation and rumors about the Covid-19 situation in the UAE has hindered the country’s efforts to recover in different sectors.

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Agency (NCEMA) on Tuesday called on people to confirm the accuracy of news spread on social media.

“We emphasize the need to obtain information from officially recognized sources to avoid legal liability,” said Dr. Taher Al Amiri, an official spokesperson for NCEMA.

The UAE shares all information and agreements about the pandemic through the official platform. “As part of its efforts to fight the pandemic, the UAE has adjusted transparency and integrity in its approach,” he said.

He mentioned the weekly media briefing held by the UAE government every Tuesday to share information on the latest developments in Covid-19.

Vaccine-driven

He emphasized that the UAE is the most vaccinated country in the world. “The health sector is keen to provide different vaccines approved by the World Health Organization. These vaccines are safe for all target groups.”

A national team was formed to oversee all research on the Covid-19 vaccine. “The UAE has launched a national campaign to promote the importance of vaccination in improving immunity and returning to normal life. It does this by providing vaccination centers across the country and providing free vaccines to all target groups,” Dr. Tahe said.

“All information about vaccines, including booster injections and methods of obtaining them, are published in a highly transparent manner based on the team’s findings to ensure that everyone is aware of the situation.”

Everything is ready for the Expo

With only two days left before the opening of Expo 2020 Dubai, Dr. Tahe praised the UAE for its ability to host large-scale events that follow best hygiene practices.

The UAE is fully prepared in terms of managing large-scale global events, “guaranteeing the safety and protection of all tourists and tourists.”

“Protecting the achievements of the UAE is a national responsibility. At this stage, social integration is essential for returning to a new normal life. We recommend all measures, regular testing and vaccinations,” the official added. “We believe in people’s awareness and their compliance with all announced national and local agreements.”
