Covid vaccine: Private hospitals in Dubai now offer Pfizer vaccine-News

One of the first private healthcare providers to provide Pfizer vaccines to the public was Aster Cedars Hospital in Jebel Ali, which announced that starting June 27, 2021, the public can register for free vaccinations after pre-vaccination. Register it.

Earlier, healthcare providers only received the Sinopharm vaccine at Aster Hospital in Mankhool.

Some other private hospitals, such as Zulekha Hospital, also provide eligible candidates with two doses of Pfizer vaccine within 21 to 28 days, including Dubai visa holders and those with valid UAE ID cards.

Zulekha Hospital also stipulates that people who hold a Sharjah visa and live in Dubai can also use JABs if they can show proof of residence in Dubai-by showing their Dewa bill or Ejari.

Other Dubai hospitals said they will soon complete the first and second doses of Sinopharm’s vaccination, and then will focus on managing Pfizer vaccines, which they expect to receive within the next two weeks.

Another Dubai hospital, who asked not to be named, added that their Pfizer vaccine stocks are limited and they only use them for high-risk individuals designated by the Dubai Health Authority. According to the hospital, these high-priority individuals include four main groups-the first category includes Emirati and residents 60 years and older, patients with chronic diseases and the disabled.

The UAE has received more than 16 million doses of vaccine, 162.20 doses per 100 people-the highest in the world.

More than 76% of UAE residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and more than 66% have been fully vaccinated.
