CRESTLINE — This year’s Crestline Harvest Festival kicks off on Thursday with musical performances, competitions and plenty of food.
Along Thoman Street, the festival from Bucyrus to Main Street kicks off Thursday at 5pm with an opening ceremony on the main stage next to the fire department. The event runs until Saturday.
The rides will be open from 5-10pm Thursday, 4-10pm Friday and noon-10pm Saturday. All-day wristbands are $10 on Thursdays, $14 on Fridays and $17 on Saturdays. Single tickets are $2 each or $30 for 20 tickets. Each ride will cost two to three tickets.
The Crestline Harvest Festival Little Miss pageant kicks off on the main stage Thursday at 5.30pm, followed by the Princess pageant at 6pm and the Queen at 7pm
After the pageant, the Pioneer Performing Arts will take the main stage at 9 p.m.
Friday’s Main Stage Entertainment will feature Jess Kellie Adams on Main Stage at 6pm and Nashville Crush at 8:30pm
On Fridays from 1-2 p.m., the Crestline Community Center will be offering free seniors bingo, provided by the Crawford County Commission on Aging. It is open to seniors 55 and older. Those planning to participate should call 419-562-3050 to register.
Saturday’s event begins at 7 a.m. with the Crestline Fire Department serving a pancake breakfast at the fire station.
The Back the Blue Car & Motorcycle Show begins at 9 am in the Village Hall parking lot and off Seltzer Street. Craft shows will be held under tents on the Lawn of the Methodist Church from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Princess Royal will provide photos at Spots Rolling Bean at noon.
The Harvest Parade begins Saturday at 3:30 p.m. from Kelly Park and runs along Bucyrus Street. Alumni Night and Bulldog Supporters will be at The Hub at 6pm.
Saturday’s main stage entertainment will feature Direct Energy at 6pm and McGuffey Lane at 8:30pm

There will be many competitions during this year’s Harvest Festival.Registration forms for all competitions are held on Saturdays and are available at Crestline Schools, Crestline Public Library, Village Hall and online crestlineharvestfestival.com.
The Children’s Stage Competition will include:
- The Crestline Cuties Contest is a new event this year, starting at 9:30am. There are two age groups: 0-2 and 3-4. There is an application fee of $5 per child during the event.
- Updo/Most Creative Hair Contest starts at 10:15am for students ages 1-8 and 9 and up.
- Hula Hoop starts at 10:30am, followed by Limbo at 10:45am, for children ages 5-10 and 11 and older.
- Cookie Face is another new addition, starting at 11am for kids ages 4-9 and 10-18.
- The water balloon drop is at 11:15 am and each team must have two people. This applies to children ages 5-10 and 11 and older.
Main stage competitions include:
- The Hay Bale Toss game is back for the second year in a row. Beginning at 11:30am, age groups are 8 and under, 9-12, 13-17, and 18 and over.
- Pizza Eats by Checkers from 12:30pm Age categories 8-12, 13-17 and 18 and over.
- Wing Dining by Just Jokin’ Bar and Grill is limited to the first 10 registered. Age groups are 13-17 years old and 18 years old and above.
- The Beard Contest is at 1:30pm and is hosted by Ed’s Barber Shop. For ages 18 and up, there are five categories including Goatee, Full Beard, Partial Beard, Mustache and Crowd Favorite.
- At 7:30pm, there will be a free throw game at the St. Joe Gathering Center.
