The new anchor will be offline soon…
In the past year and a half, cruise ships have not been seen in the capital.
As the UAE has adopted strict public health protection measures, the few liners that have been sailing in the seven oceans during the ongoing global health crisis have been restricted from docking and disembarking in Abu Dhabi.
But before the pandemic, providing a hub for leisure cruise ships was a booming (and thriving) business.
In 2019, more than 11.35 million international tourists came to experience the diverse wonders of Abu Dhabi, of which approximately 518,000 (approximately 5%) came here through 193 separate cruise calls
This may not sound like much, but it represents a huge increase, in fact it increased by 46% year-on-year.

The big news is that from September 1, 2021, cruise ships will be welcomed back to Abu Dhabi, where passengers will be allowed to disembark, provided they are fully vaccinated.

These ocean giants will call at the port of Zayed Mina on the mainland and the port of Baniyas Island, the gateway to Abu Dhabi’s Magical Safari Park.
Passengers going to Mina Port Zayed also don’t have to go too far to experience this kind of life in the capital.this Martha Mina Development Full of opportunities for flavour exploration and crafty art installations.
