Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has announced the publication of its third annual Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report for the year ending 31 December 2022, covering DAE Capital and DAE Engineering.
The report was prepared under the guidance of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. KPMG has provided limited assurance on certain indicators reported in DAE’s ESG Report. The report also includes KPMG’s independent statement of assurance.
DAE CEO Firoz Tarapore said: “DAE closes in 2022 further strengthening our ESG leadership and risk management position within the industry. Through greater engagement, disclosure and incremental investment in the newest and greenest aircraft, We are making steady progress on our ESG goals.”
Performance in 2022
• Achieved a major milestone of having 50 percent of its owned aircraft equipped with fuel-efficient next-generation technology, three years ahead of target.
• Completed Morningstar Sustainalytics’ ESG risk rating review with a score of 14.4, maintaining a leading position among rating peers.
• Earned 2022 “Top ESG Rating in Industry” and “Top ESG Rating in Region” certifications from Sustainalytics.
• Signatory to the Irish Sustainability Charter for Aircraft Leasing.
main highlights
• Scope 1 and Scope 2 (market-based) GHG emissions of 3,896 tonnes CO2e in 2022 (2021: 2,722 tonnes), of which 701 tonnes CO2e in 2022 (2021: 239 tonnes) were attributed to DAE Capital, all in Both periods are range 2.
