[ad_1]

Damen delivered a CSD650 to HAC Cranes for an end user in Kuwait. The stationary dredger, named GD4000, was pulled from stock and outfitted, inspected and transported from the shipyard to its final destination, all within 44 days of contract signing.

After some modifications and installation of some additional onboard options in Kuwait, the dredger will be put into operation by the Gulf Dredging Company.

The CSD650 was built at the Damen Albwardy shipyard in Sharjah, Dubai. So it has just been added to the dredger inventory so it can be delivered immediately. When a customer expressed a need for an out-of-the-box stationary dredger, the CSD650 was proposed, and after contract was signed, customization began with options from stock.

challenge time

In response to logistical and supply challenges, the two parties successfully worked together to arrange final customization and installation in Kuwait after delivery.

This custom process includes adding bolt installations, deck cranes and a dredging instrument package. In addition, navigation and communication equipment was added at the customer’s request. The CSD650 is designed to pump 7,000 cubic meters of water at a maximum dredging depth of approximately 18 meters.

“The delivery of this large dredger was very fast,” stressed Boran Bekbulat, Regional Sales Director. “Thanks to the excellent cooperation of the parties involved, and the urgent need for the dredger, they were all energized and all stages of the delivery process went smoothly. The end user himself even towed the dredger to Kuwait in record time. .”

“The extraordinary timeline of the delivery process has just established another milestone,” added Bekbulat. “The collaboration between all parties involved has been fantastic. We are confident that the CSD 650 will meet the expectations of HAC Cranes and that the end user Gulf Dredging, a regional leader in marine and civil construction, dredging and other offshore works, will find it to be very beneficial to itself and its customers a vital asset.”— arab trade news agency
