From now until November 6th, Yas Island will host a series of events for community members, with tons of performances and prizes waiting for you to win

The UAE capital will be celebrating Diwali, India’s festival of lights, in grand fashion over the next two weeks.

Abu Dhabi’s premier leisure and entertainment hub, Yas Island, will host a series of events from Monday to November 6, the day of the festival, ensuring an unforgettable experience for members of the community.There will be a musical performance at the Etihad Arena, which has always been popular Bangla Dancers and drummers on the Yas Bay beachfront, delicious food from famous Indian chefs, 3D light shows, and many more prizes to win.

Below is a list of venues and events taking place on Yas Island:

Yas Bay Waterfront

Visitors to Yas Bay Waterfront, Abu Dhabi’s vibrant dining and nightlife destination, will be immersed in a festive show until 29 October Bangla dancers and go Drummer on the boardwalk. In addition, there will be Diwali-themed roaming entertainment. People can experience both activities between 6pm and 10pm.

AR Rahman concert

The renowned Indian musician and two-time Academy Award winner will put on a breathtaking show with his ensemble of singers and musicians at the Etihad Arena on 28 October. Fans will enjoy entertaining renditions of his popular original tracks and music mixed with state-of-the-art technology, visual effects and synchronized choreography.

W Abu Dhabi

Until 29 October, Michelin-starred chef, author and restaurateur Vineeth Bhatia will be curating an à la carte menu at W Abu Dhabi – Angar, the award-winning Indian restaurant on Yas Island. Prepare lunch and dinner menus where guests can enjoy Indian cuisine with a modern and creative twist from celebrity chefs.

Yas Plaza Hotel

Celebrity Chef Ranveer Brar will share his love of Desi flavors from October 28-30. The acclaimed chef will host an exclusive three-day chef’s table at Yas Island Rotana’s trendy Indian restaurant Rangoli. The chef will be unveiling his new cookbook at Filini Garden on Radisson Blu Yas Island.

Hilton Abu Dhabi

At Capila Pool Bar & Grill at Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, guests will enjoy Diwali-themed light projections on the resort’s façade, complemented by Bangla From October 29th to 30th, dance performances by the pool and two days of delicious Indian BBQ.Indian feast will include tandoori, tika Meat and freshly grilled Naan (bread), and bite-sized chaat with various spices, Chutney and fragrant sauces, then decadent Indian desserts and masala firewood (spiced tea) and Indian themed drinks.

Spend and win big at Yas Shopping Centre

Running until November 6, people can enter a raffle for every Dh300 spent celebrating Diwali for a chance to win one of three exciting prizes. The grand prize, which will be announced on November 7, includes two business class flights to India, Zen Diamond jewellery worth AED 5,000 and 200,000 Dhs 200,000 points worth AED 10,000. Other prizes include hotel accommodation and tickets to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. During Diwali, Yas Mall will host several entertainment shows and events, including Bollywood dance performances and roaming stilt walkers.

Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi

DJ Aqeel and Akhtar’s take on classic ’90s pop tunes will set the stage for a delightful Diwali celebration at Stills at Crowne Plaza Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

Yas Marina

Diablito on Yas Marina will celebrate Hanukkah with Indian-inspired Mediterranean cuisine, Paella with Raita sauce – a curried vegetable paella – and tandoori chicken pizza with Indian spices.
