Daughter of ‘Putin brain’ killed in Moscow car bombing: report | World News

[ad_1]

Darya Dugin, the 29-year-old daughter of Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin, is believed to have been killed in a car bombing in Moscow, according to reports. Aleksandr Dugin is known as “Putin’s brain‘ and has been behind Russia’s military operations in Ukraine, as in Crimea. His daughter Daria, a journalist, also supported Moscow’s attack on Ukraine. According to Russian media reports, the father and daughter were due to return from an event in the same car on Saturday night, but Alexander made a last-minute change and took a different car. Whether the target of the attack was “Putin’s brain” has not been confirmed, according to the BBC. Also read: Vladimir Putin says US trying to ‘extend’ Ukraine conflict

Video of the unconfirmed explosion that killed Darya Dugin has surfaced on Telegram, showing Aleksandr looking in shock at the burning wreckage of his daughter’s car.

However, Russian authorities have yet to confirm the car explosion and Daria Dugin’s death.

Aleksandr Dugin has no position in the Kremlin, but is known as “Putin’s Rasputin” because of his close relationship with Putin. Darya Dugin has been sanctioned by the UK after being accused of spreading ‘false information’ about the Russian-Ukrainian war online.

Denis Pushlin, Russia’s acting leader in occupied Ukraine’s Donetsk, has blamed the bombing on terrorists in the Ukrainian regime. He reportedly wrote on Telegram that they (terrorists) had been “trying to liquidate Aleksandr Dugin” but had “blown up his daughter”. “In loving memory of Daria, she was a real Russian girl,” Pushlin wrote.

last minute vehicle change

The fact that Aleksandr changed his vehicle at the last minute further confirms the theory that he may have been the target of the blast he “unwittingly” escaped. The blast occurred Saturday night in Bolshie Vyazemy on the outskirts of the Russian capital. According to reports, the two were guests of honor at the traditional family festival at the Zakharovor estate and planned to leave together. But Alexander replaced his vehicle when his daughter was travelling in a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado – only to be blown to pieces later.
