It starts this weekend…
The Daz festival, officially known as the Dar Al Zain Festival, returns to the emirate of Abu Dhabi this weekend for a mix of entertainment, culture, dining and general swooning.
It will be held at Al Jahili Park in Al Ain from 10th to 19th February and tickets are only Dhs25 and can be purchased via ticketmaster.aeThis year’s theme is ‘Nature’ – a fittingly ethereal archetype given the UAE’s garden city setting.
The events are curated by the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) and take place across a range of different experience zones. There’s a vibrant craft market, carnival rides, live music, a huge oasis art park, and more.
fun and games
If you’re looking for adventure, there’s a jungle escape room that pits the mind and body against the toughest challenges in the jungle; there’s a collaborative virtual reality game — Versus, which offers a chance to explore ancient Egypt and take full advantage of William Tell, who shoots arrows in an archery competition .
The forest-themed children’s playground offers wholesome fun with wooden slides and swings. Oasis Amusement Park brings the festive spirit to life with colorful animal sculptures, a carousel and a seesaw. Plus all the keystroke thrills of rides, games of skill, and Daz Arcade.
Art
Daz’s transformative art installation centers on the mesmerizing “Pyramid Sphere”. In what sounds like an “event horizon” experience, visitors can tunnel into the sphere and peer out at the world through cleverly crafted portals.
Hyun House
