DBWC and INSEAD National Alumni Association join forces to strengthen women’s empowerment in business – Dubai Blog

The Dubai Business Women’s Council (DBWC) and the National Alumni Association of the European School of Business Administration in the UAE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen mutual cooperation in the interests of the members of the two organizations and strengthen the competitiveness of both parties in increasing the UAE’s business community .

The memorandum of understanding was signed by His Excellency Dr. Raja Al Gurg, Chairperson of the Dubai Business Women’s Council, and Natalie Sleiman, Chairperson of the UAE National Alumni Association of the European Institute of Business Administration, in front of the members of the two organizations and marked the official establishment of INSEAD Women in Business Alumni Club UAE

His Excellency Dr. Raja Al Gurg, Chairperson of the Dubai Business Women’s Council, stated that the memorandum of understanding signed with the UAE INSEAD National Alumni Association is a strategic partnership serving Dubai’s business women and entrepreneurs, and is in line with the future plans formulated by the Dubai Emirate to improve business practices. Competitiveness to attract investment, especially in the economic recovery phase after COVID-19.

She emphasized that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding during the Expo 2020 in Dubai reflects the importance of dialogue and concerted efforts to support women working in different business fields.

Natalie Sleiman, Chairman of INSEAD National Alumni Association of the United Arab Emirates, said: “The INSEAD Business Women Alumni Club is the core of our association’s strategy to create a positive impact in the country we call home. According to the provisions of the memorandum of understanding, INSEAD UAE National Alumni Association and its newly established alumni club are jointly led by Cynthia Saab and Gabriela Janzen-Nowak, and will support DBWC and Introduce its members to the role of the council in supporting business women. The cooperation will also provide professional exchange opportunities, initiatives, and foster mentor relationships, aiming to improve Dubai’s senior leadership and personal development, so as to enhance the skills and capabilities of the Dubai business community.

DBWC Business Development Manager Nadine Halabi said that the MOU places special emphasis on bilateral cooperation and partnerships, including promoting the services, activities and initiatives of both parties to its members, as well as introducing the role and contribution of DBWC as a major official platform for women companies in Dubai.
