DC Comics’ new Superman becomes bisexual in an upcoming issue

DC Comics continues its inclusive wave, which is a landmark moment in the history of comics. On National Coming Out Day, DC announced that the new Superman will appear as a bisexual in the upcoming comics.

Jonathan Kent is the son of Clark Kent and Louise Lane, and is currently known as “Superman of the Earth.” According to reports, Jon will start a relationship with reporter Jay Nakamura in “Superman: Son of El #5” released on November 9. type.

Making Iron Man bisexual is by far the most compelling example of comic publishers including LGBTQ.

If you remember, in August, DC published a question in which Robin, Batman’s partner Also came out as bisexual.

“I have always said that everyone needs a hero, and everyone should see themselves in their heroes. I am very grateful to DC and Warner Bros. for sharing this idea,” said Tom Taylor, the author of this issue. “The symbol of Superman has always represented hope, truth, and justice. Today, this symbol represents more things. Today, more people can see themselves in the most powerful superheroes in comics.”

According to the press release, in this issue, Jon Kent’s Superman will “find comfort in Jay’s arms after Jay was completely exhausted from trying to save the world.

“We are very proud to tell this important story of Tom Taylor and John Timms,” said Jim Lee, DC’s chief creative officer and publisher. “We often talk about the power of DC Multiverse when telling stories. This is another incredible example. We can let Jon Kent explore his identity in the comics, and we can let Jon Kent explore his identity in Superman and Lu Yisi learned about his family’s secrets on TV. Superman and Robin joined other major LGBTQ comics characters, including DC’s Batwoman, Harley Quinn, and Green Lantern.

Marvel also has its own LGBTQ characters, including Iceman, Miss America, and Polaris-when he came out in 1992, this was one of the first publicly gay cartoon characters.
