Response to Dementia, LLC and Dementia Education, Inc. have announced the fall schedule for America’s premier dementia education photo exhibit, which will include an appearance in the Tallahassee State Capitol Rotunda, followed by Citrus Memorial Health Foundation YMCA. County Homecoming Exhibit Le Contor.
The exhibit is a vast collection of cassette photographs of famous American artists, writers, musicians, athletes, entertainers, actors, scientists and politicians who have died from Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
The purpose of the exhibition is to convey the message that memory diseases have no boundaries. They equally afflict men and women of any race and all walks of life, regardless of wealth and social status, and are arguably the most serious medical problems of our time, requiring more support and funding, not just for cures, but for For the day – care today.

The photo collection, now 80, is owned by Inverness, Florida-based Coping with Dementia LLC and designed by its president, Debbie Selsavage. Dementia Education Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Citrus County that assists with exhibition arrangements and travel. Over the past four years, it has been watched by more than 1 million people in Midwest Florida.
Selsavage said, “We are particularly excited about its upcoming appearance at the Tallahassee State Capitol. Not only is it a prestigious venue, but for the first time we have enough space to display the entire 80 photo collection.”
“For our opportunity to exhibit at the Capitol next November, we thank the office of Rep. Ralph Massullo, who assisted with the visit and planning,” said Lee Cooper, director of Dementia Education Inc., who helped arrange the exhibit’s report.
“As our population continues to grow and age, it’s important that we continue to raise awareness about all aspects of mental health. Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease touch us all in some way,” Masulo said. . “Not only do we need to raise awareness of these diseases, but we also need to continue our efforts to find a cure and hopefully an eventual cure. I’m proud to be prioritizing this issue as we serve our community and state.”
