Abdul Rahiman Nizar is popular for his rare collection of all the teeth removed so far in his career
Abu Dhabi’s dentist couple Abdul Rahiman Nizar and Simi are the latest recipients of the 10-year UAE Golden Visa.
Dr. Nizar has served in Abu Dhabi for 20 years, including 18 years in Ahalia Group. However, the Indian doctor is popular for his rare collection of all the teeth extracted so far in his career.
“Teeth are the strongest part of your body. I have always liked teeth. Once I entered my work, I started collecting them. Soon, it became a hobby. I started to collect all kinds of collections, these The collection has been helping students learn dentistry,” said Dr. Nizar from Kerala, India.
“All these years, I Collected nearly 15,000 teeth. I clean each tooth with antibacterial hydrogen peroxide and then treat it with disinfectant. After drying, I store them in a box. My goal is to see my name in the record book,” said the general practitioner dentist.
Dr. Nizar urges people to take good care of their teeth and see the dentist every six months.
“Detecting any tooth decay early will help avoid tooth extraction. I always try to save a tooth and only use tooth extraction as a last resort,” he said.
Dr. Simi, who works at Al Mafraq Medical Center in Baniyas, has also been collecting teeth.
“We are very happy to get the Golden Visa. During this pandemic, we both served the community and sacrificed our rest days,” said Dr. Simi.

The couple have four daughters: Neha, a student in grade 12, Naila in grade 8, Naima in grade 3, and Naira, who is 8 months old.
Dr. Nizar, who also holds a 10-year U.S. visa, added: “We plan to serve Abu Dhabi for a lifetime. I thank the leadership for this honor and thank our hospital for supporting our career.”
