Deutsche Hospitality Announces Two Key Appointments

Deutsche Hospitality, Germany’s leading hotel management group, announces the appointment of Mohamed Khedr as Regional Director Sales and Marketing and Toufic Tamim as Senior Business Development Director.

Deutsche Hospitality expands its team to 10 professionals with regional experience, strengthening its commitment to maintaining and growing the Deutsche Hospitality brand; supporting the success of its properties in the Middle East.

With 48 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Khedr and Tamim have been appointed to drive sales and marketing efforts and identify new business opportunities, in line with the Group’s vision to expand its regional portfolio and strengthen its leading position in the market.

With 15 years of experience in sales and marketing, Khedr joins Deutsche Hospitality where he is responsible for developing sales strategies across markets across the region of operation. Khedr will also maximize revenue performance from the Middle East to our global portfolio by driving sales and marketing best practices.

He will also promote Deutsche Hospitality’s strong presence in Steigenberger Hotels and Residences Doha, IntercityHotel Dubai Jadhaf Waterfront, Al Hamra Village Hotel and Al Hamra Residences in the UAE, IntercityHotel Muscat in Oman, Nigeria IntercityHotel Ziwa and IntercityHotel Salalah, Regional Brand Power and Market Share of IntercityHotel Riyadh Malaz in Saudi Arabia and Steigenberger Marhaba Thalasso Hammamet in Tunisia. Before joining Deutsche Hospitality, Khedr worked for renowned brands such as Jumeirah Group, Accor and Armani Hotels Dubai.

Tamim brings 33 years of regional hospitality experience and will be responsible for business development opportunities in the Middle East with a focus on expanding operations in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman and Qatar. Deutsche Hospitality’s tenacious expansion plans include the launch of luxury brand Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts, mid-tier hotel brand IntercityHotels and budget lifestyle brand Zleep Hotel in the region. The management and franchising models for these brands are already available, and following the successful launch of Steigenberger Apartments Doha, the Group will increase its efforts to develop its apartment brands in the region.

Previously, Tamim was responsible for the launch of 30 premier hotels and developed growth strategies for well-known brands such as Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts and Dur Hospitality Saudi Arabia; Four hotel management agreements completed. – trade arab news agency
