Developers want the green light for a $15 million entertainment complex in O’Fallon, Missouri.

stone. CHARLES COUNTY (KMOV) — A family-friendly entertainment center planned for O’Fallon could break its final hurdle next week as developers seek expedited approval from O’Fallon City Council.

SkyView Partners said the project had been in the works for several years before they decided to build a 2.5-acre lot in O’Fallon at the intersection of I-64 and Hwy DD.

“That’s where the growth is right now, and there’s no place for family fun in St. Charles County,” said Todd Schneider, managing partner of SkyView Partners.

Current plans include a multi-level cart track, a 130-foot slide, a 50-foot tower ride, a swinging carousel, a stroller track and a Carl’s Drive-In restaurant.

“There are no tickets to enter the park, you just pay for the ride,” Schneider said. “The family can have something to eat, the kids can go for a ride, the whole family can ride the trolley together, and then they can turn back and have ice cream in one place.”

Once completed, the project will be located in the Caledonian area of O’Fallon, adjacent to the Rush football stadium and cinema. Schneider hopes the venue will attract those who come to town for a traveling soccer game.

“A lot of families are from out of town, and a lot of them have games, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, so they have an hour or two in between to kill time, and we think we’re a good option for them, ” He says.

Last week, SkyView Partners submitted the project to the city’s planning and zoning commission, which approved several conditional use permits. Next week, they will give a presentation in front of the city council.

“It’s right in front of the Rush football stadium, which helps with that, and it’s right in front of the movie theater, so it’s an entertainment destination,” said O’Fallon Mayor Bill Hennessey. “I’m excited to have something like this coming to O’Fallon.”

Hennessey said the city continues to work hard to develop the Caledonia region, which has seen an explosion of new homes being built over the past few years. There may be more developments to come, he said.

If the city approves the project, it hopes to begin construction this winter, with plans to open by July 4, 2023, Schneider said. He said it would likely operate between March and December, but plans were already in the works. The space can be used during its off-season.

Hennessey said some people were concerned that there could be additional noise and traffic flow. He hopes to resolve these issues before the project is completed.
