The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) R&D Centre is testing its Smart Grid Analysis project, which uses voltage and current measurements from primary substations to detect and predict disturbances on medium voltage (MV).
A statement said the test helped DEWA to proactively carry out the necessary maintenance to ensure continuity of supply according to the highest standards of reliability, resilience, accountability and availability.
The R&D center will also evaluate the “dInsight” analytics platform, which provides a powerful and comprehensive visualization of grid, load and supply.
