Motorists driving to Abu Dhabi from other emirates must consider the continued movement restrictions after midnight before planning their trip.

During these five hours, traffic and residents’ movements were restricted, and traffic services were suspended.

Residents who need to leave their homes for necessary reasons or buy food or medicine at these times need to obtain a movement permit. They can apply for one from the Abu Dhabi Police website.

The police had earlier stated that Abu Dhabi’s radar had been activated to detect residents who had walked out of their homes during the restricted time.

The disinfection plan is part of the comprehensive Covid-19 safety measures that came into effect last week.

In addition, new testing and entry rules; reducing capacity restrictions in shopping malls, movie theaters and other public places.
