DMCC-World Flagship Free Zone and Dubai Government’s Commodity Trade and Enterprise Administration-has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), which aims to support Poland’s overseas expansion and foreign direct investment (FDI) Flowed into Poland. The signing ceremony will be held at the Polish-Arab Economic Forum on December 6, 2021.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by DMCC Executive Chairman and CEO Ahmed Bin Sulayem and PAIH Executive Vice President Grzagorz Slomkowski in the presence of representatives of both parties. The agreement aims to further strengthen the bilateral trade relationship between DMCC and PAIH and expand the existing strong economic relationship between the UAE and Poland. It will also promote joint activities and knowledge exchange organizations, and connect the business communities of the two countries.
DMCC Executive Chairman and CEO Ahmed Bin Sulayem said: “The UAE and Poland have a long-term relationship that spans multiple disciplines, including trade and economics. As Poland is the 10th largest economy in the EU, I am honored to represent DMCC with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. Signed a memorandum of understanding. We look forward to further strengthening our relationship to better support Polish companies’ global expansion through Dubai.”
Grzagorz Slomkowski, Executive Vice President of PAIH, said: “The UAE is Poland’s largest economic partner in the Arab world. The Memorandum of Understanding signed with DMCC strengthens this relationship. This agreement will provide for Polish companies wishing to set up companies in Dubai as well as DMCC member companies. Access to the attractive Polish market offers many opportunities. In the coming period, we expect that the economic ties between the two countries will be further strengthened.”
For the past ten years, the UAE has been Poland’s largest economic and trade partner in the Arab world. The annual bilateral trade volume between Dubai and Poland has exceeded 1 billion U.S. dollars and has pledged to increase this number in the next few years.
