dnata becomes the first airline and travel service provider to join the IATA gender diversity initiative – Dubai Blog

dnata has become the first global aviation and travel service provider to sign the International Air Transport Association (IATA) 25by2025 initiative, which aims to promote gender diversity in the aviation industry.

Dnata has worked with 62 airlines to increase the number of women in senior positions and underrepresented. The goal is to reach at least 25% of female representatives in all sectors or increase the current level by at least 25% by 2025. The company will report key diversity indicators annually. In addition, dnata will work with IATA and other signatories to increase the representation and nominations of women in IATA governance roles.

In dnata’s global business, women are employed in a wide range of positions, covering all major operational, commercial and support functions. Women are represented at almost all levels of the company, including executive management and various technical roles. These include specialized operational roles such as cargo loading supervisor, tarmac operation team leader, turnover coordinator and flight dispatcher. Among women working at dnata, more than 24% have been with the company for 10 years or more.

dnata is a trusted partner of more than 300 airline customers, providing high-quality and safe ground handling, cargo, catering and travel services in 35 countries/regions. In the 2020-21 fiscal year, Denata’s customer-oriented team handled 290,000 aircraft, 2.7 million tons of cargo, and approximately 17 million meals.
