Controlled Development Acceleration
In fiscal year 2022, DON’T NOD posted operating income of €30 million, an increase of 12.5% ​​from €26.7 million in 2021. This performance was driven by:
- Capitalized production increased by 42% to EUR 23 million, reflecting a strong 2022-2025 lineup comprising eight games in development,
- Development revenue grew 28.3%, driven by Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, a partnership with Focus Entertainment, scheduled for release in late 2023,
- Sales from Gerda: A Flame in Winter and previous catalogs total €900,000 in 2022, including challenging base effects between 2021 and 2022 (Twin Mirror guaranteed minimum amount).
Bold 2023-2025 release cycle
After two consecutive years of focusing on capex, international rollout and implementing its integrated developer-publisher model, DON’T NOD will start in 2023 with plans to release two new games in this fiscal year: Harmony: The Fall of Reverie , a self-published game in partnership with Focus Entertainment, and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.
Meanwhile, DON’T NOD is continuing to develop upcoming projects in its rich 2023-2025 pipeline, which includes six IP projects, four of which are internally developed and two externally developed (Studio Tolima and Tiny Bull Studios).
DON’T NOD confirms its post-2025 growth strategy, focusing on:
- Increased production capacity for action role-playing games, a proven market segment with strong sales potential. With successful assets already in its portfolio (Vampyr) and new IP titles (Banishers), DON’T NOD is internally developing a new game (Project 12) that will drive value creation;
- Accelerate high-level talent acquisition to expand in-house expertise in Marketing and Publishing, while pursuing distribution partnerships to secure revenue.
