Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson believe in friendship with ex: Watch

When it comes to exes, Drew Barrymore and Kate Hudson see eye to eye.

Kate Hudson shows up drew barrymore The January 5, 2023 episode, talking about her recently released Netflix film, “The Glass Onion: Into the Wild.”

Hudson and Barrymore recall their shared bond with the Wilson brothers. Kate is known to have dated Owen on and off from 2006 to 2009, while Drew had an affair with Luke from 1996 to 1998.

“We were talking about the Wilsons the last time you were here. I was dating Luke,” Barrymore told Hudson, who mentioned that she hadn’t heard from the brothers.

To which Barrymore responded, “Neither have I.” The pair laughed about how elusive the Wilsons are, which Kate alluded to in the comments, “I bet he’s terrified of you being so open, and he’s not,” The two added in unison, “That’s why it’s so funny.

Barrymore then shared that she didn’t shy away from calling out Justin Long, an ex she dated on and off from 2007 to 2010, during the show’s season 3 premiere last September. The two even reflect on their relationship during their emotional reunion.

The actress-turned-host shared that she thinks it’s “fun to celebrate and support your ex,” even though “you may not have the same relationship.” At this point, the audience laughed, and Drew jokingly asked: “Do you think this is funny? Why?”

Hudson added that she agrees with Drew. “Seriously, we go through so much pain, and the pain of a relationship ending, and your ego, whoever it is, there’s usually someone who feels more pain than the other. If you can’t get over it, you can’t move beyond it, Then you are holding on.”

She continued, “Love just changes forms. Even in the worst of circumstances, you don’t stop loving someone,” adding that, with some exceptions, “in a relationship, when things go really bad, Always going back to finding a place where you can have compassion and still feel loved in a different way.”

Drew is currently single since she divorced her husband of four years, Will Kopelman, in 2016 after welcoming two children. Kate Hudson was known to be married to Chris Robinson from 2000 to 2007. She recently got engaged to Danny Fujikawa in 2021 after five years of dating.
