Six Saudis, three Bangladeshi nationals and one Sudanese were injured in the attack on King Abdullah Airport in Jizan.
According to reports, at least 10 people were injured in an attack on an airport in the Saudi Arabian city of Jazan on the border with Yemen.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated that the target of the attack on Friday night was King Abdullah Airport.
The SPA quoted a spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition as saying that the projectile was launched from a drone, smashing windows on the outer wall of the airport and causing injuries.
According to Reuters, the injured included six Saudis, three Bangladeshi nationals and one Sudanese.
At least five victims suffered only minor injuries, while the status of the other five is unclear.
No one claims to be directly responsible for the attack, but the recent attacks on Saudi targets have been blamed on the Houthis in Yemen. The Houthis are fighting against a Saudi-led coalition that is trying to restore the deposed government there.
On Wednesday, four workers were also injured after coalition forces intercepted a drone carrying explosives targeting Saudi Abha Airport.
On August 31, a drone attacked the same airport, injuring 8 people and damaged a civilian aircraft.
Abha, located in the mountains in the southwestern part of the kingdom, is a popular destination for Saudi tourists.
There are no more details about the latest incident.
Saudi Arabia intervened in the Yemen war on behalf of an internationally recognized government in 2015.
The Houthis allied with Iran have repeatedly targeted cross-border attacks.
In August, the rebels upgraded these operations with drones and missiles.
