[ad_1]

Mohammed Ahmad Al Murr, Chairman of the MBRL Foundation, welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the importance of establishing knowledge exchange channels across institutions and specialized research centres, including the MBRSC of the National Space Sector.

The delegation learned about MBRL’s various facilities, services and libraries, and visited the UAE Photography Exhibition, a journey that chronicles the cultural, political and social development of the UAE over the past 50 years.

The delegation also visited the Library’s Treasures Exhibition, which features a collection of rare and ancient books, atlases and manuscripts, some of which date back to the 13th century. The visit includes dedicated meeting spaces in the Briefing Library, organizing cultural and arts festivals, hosting local and international film screenings, theatrical performances and concerts.

Almur said:[MBRL] Embodying Dubai’s new vision to promote cultural movements and provide vital support, both directly and indirectly, to the country’s new knowledge-based economy. It is committed to building strategic partnerships with local, regional and international entities to provide a better environment for cultural and knowledge exchange. These goals are in line with the UAE’s ambition to create a knowledge-centred society that incorporates reading as an integral part. “

During the visit, MBRL staff detailed the library’s vision for hosting events and annual event planning, as well as adopting the latest artificial intelligence and library technologies

Al Marri appreciates the library’s quality services, facilities and technology. He said: “There is no doubt that [MBRL] Plays a leading role in enhancing the UAE’s cultural landscape and improving its knowledge-based economy at all levels. “

Al Marri stressed the need to strengthen collaborative efforts between MBRSC and MBRL to exchange expertise in related fields.

Visitors presented MBRL with its range of valuable publications, including the Braille system, which revealed the UAE mission to Mars (Hope Rover), the first mission to another planet in the Arab world. Delegation members also admired the library’s intellectual treasures and efforts to raise awareness of the UAE’s space achievements.

The architectural concept of MBRL was inspired by the traditional X-shaped podium Rehl used in the Islamic world, and it is one of the most technologically advanced libraries in the world, utilizing artificial intelligence technology (AI), augmented reality (AR), holograms and intelligent robots.
