Dubai Airports partners with Enova to drive Emiratisation

Dubai Airports has signed an agreement with Enova, a joint venture between Majid Al Futtaim and Veolia, to facilitate the emirate’s provision of facilities management services by Enova.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is in line with the UAE Cabinet’s target to increase the Emiratisation rate by 2% per annum, and supports Dubai Airports’ commitment to achieve and exceed the national Emiratisation target from 2023 to 2026 and beyond through its strategic private sector partnerships.

The agreement was recently signed by Meshari Al Bannai, Executive Vice President, Human Resources Development, Dubai Airports, and Renaud Capris, CEO, Enova, in the presence of several senior leaders, including Majed Al Joker, Chief Operating Officer, and Omar Binadai, Executive Vice President, Infrastructure, Dubai Airports. President, along with Khalifa Bin Braik CEO Majid Al Futtaim Asset Management Business and Fatima Alloghani, Emiratisization Director Majid Al Futtaim.

The partnership will kick off Enova’s proposed Emiratisation program during the contract period – which aims to increase the rate of Emiratisation by 15% by 2025. Enova’s commitment to achieving 15% Emiratisation over the next three years underpins Majid Al Futtaim’s initiative and the UAE Government’s NAFIS program and actively contributes to the country’s economic growth and development.

Dubai Airports and Enova will assign positions to graduate interns, recent graduates and experienced professionals, with technical, administrative and supervisory roles as key areas of professional development. The recruitment program will be rolled out in phases, ensuring that UAE nationals receive high-quality on-the-job training, enabling them to meet industry demands.

Developing a strategy for hiring local talent is Enova’s top priority – prior to the organization’s competitive advantage and long-term success. In 2022, Enova hired 30 UAE nationals for on-site operations and support services at its Dubai headquarters.
