Dubai Airshow highlights new trends in air traffic

Dubai Airshow has confirmed that the Air Mobility Marketplace (AAM) will be part of the next edition of the airshow at the Dubai World Central (DWC) from November 13th to 17th.

The highlight aligns with this year’s theme, “The Future of Aerospace,” and will introduce a new pavilion dedicated to AAM, where regional and global players can discover the future of flight that will have a major impact on the aerospace industry Technology the way we travel.

Earlier this year, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced that air taxis would start flying in Dubai within three years. He has also approved plans to develop a vertiport as part of the emirate’s future air traffic infrastructure network to simplify the movement of individuals in urban areas in a safe, smooth and sustainable manner, and is currently working on a terminal design concept.

Meanwhile, the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Center (MBRAH) in Dubai South have announced an agreement to establish the world’s first AAM Integrator World Center in Dubai, which is currently underway. The world’s first vertiport certification process as part of the project. These developments help boost international industries and reaffirm Dubai’s global status.

The UAE is also home to the world’s leading aerospace event, Dubai Airshow, which later this year will bring together global industry players and thought leaders from the aerospace, space and defense sectors to showcase the latest innovative solutions, share insights and discuss current and future trends shaping these industries. With the industry and region firmly placing AAM on the agenda of the future of air transport, the 18th edition of the Dubai Airshow will ride on the momentum and further establish Dubai as a pioneer in this market.

Exhibitors old and new are welcome, and visitors will have the opportunity to explore a range of air transportation solutions including drones, UAVs, UAM and eVTOL in the brand new AAM Pavilion. There will also be an eVTOL flight display to further highlight the capabilities of these future modes of transportation.

The Advanced Aerial Mobility conference is also returning, welcoming more industry thought leaders and experts to participate in an extensive program. It will explore the latest technologies that will change the way we travel, as well as the regulations and infrastructure needed to integrate AAM into our everyday lives. – trade arab news agency
