Grand Celebration: Dubai Announces National Month 2025 Uniting Flag Day and Eid Al Etihad

Dubai Announces National Month 2025: Flag Day to Eid Al Etihad Unified in Celebration

Dubai is set to repeat the success of its landmark national initiative, officially announcing a second National Month that will seamlessly connect Flag Day on November 3 with Eid Al Etihad on December 2, 2025. This month-long celebration, declared by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, is designed to foster a powerful, unified expression of national pride and heritage across the UAE.

A Unified Vision for National Pride

The initiative, spearheaded by Brand Dubai in collaboration with public and private sectors, aims to transform separate national occasions into a cohesive season of celebration. Sheikh Ahmed emphasized that the National Month is a profound demonstration of national solidarity, rooted in the values of loyalty and a shared vision for the future. He confirmed the return of the popular “Zayed & Rashid” theme, which pays tribute to the enduring legacy of the UAE’s founding leaders and their pivotal role in shaping the nation’s journey.

The core objective is to move beyond symbolic gestures, creating a harmonious and collective effort that engages all segments of society. The campaign is built on the principles of cooperation and unity—values that are fundamental to the UAE’s past achievements and future aspirations.

Building on a Successful Foundation

Following a highly successful inaugural run in 2024, which saw enthusiastic participation from more than 200 government, semi-government, and private entities, the 2025 National Month is set to grow even larger in scale and impact. Building on the strong foundation laid last year, the upcoming edition will introduce new layers of engagement, outreach, and collaboration designed to reach a wider audience across diverse sectors of society. According to Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson of the Dubai Media Council, this year’s strategy will place a stronger emphasis on integration and coordinated programming, ensuring that each initiative contributes to a unified narrative. By doing so, organizers aim to create not only a deeper and more resonant experience for participants, but also a lasting cultural and social imprint that reinforces the values of unity, innovation, and national pride.

What to Expect During National Month 2025

Residents and visitors can anticipate a vibrant calendar of events and activities designed to inspire collective engagement. Key highlights will include:

  • Diverse Event Line-Up: A wide array of national, cultural, and community events accessible to people from all walks of life.

  • Spotlight on Local Talent: Brand Dubai will partner with digital content creators and local innovators to produce creative content that brings the spirit of the campaign to life.

  • Platform for SMEs: Through the Proudly from Dubai network, local entrepreneurs and small businesses will have dedicated platforms to showcase their products, connect with a wider audience, and benefit from increased visibility during the citywide celebrations.

  • The “Zayed & Rashid” Narrative: A recurring theme that will weave through the month, honoring the vision and wisdom of the UAE’s founding fathers.

A Collaborative Effort for a Shared Identity

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, described the National Month as a “creative expression” of the nation’s values. She highlighted the critical role of collaboration—from government bodies to individual content creators and small businesses—in making the celebration a true reflection of the community’s spirit.

By uniting previously isolated commemorations under a single, powerful banner, Dubai aims to strengthen the collective national identity. The National Month serves as an annual reminder of the nation’s journey, instilling a renewed sense of connection to its heritage and a collective optimism for its future trajectory. This initiative marks a significant step in transforming national pride from a series of events into a sustained, shared experience.
