Erith Group, a leading supplier of high-quality, high-end sealing products and solutions, recently opened its first overseas office in Chennai, India, to tap into the growing market in South Asia.
The Chennai Engineering Centre of Excellence was established to identify opportunities and serve the South Asian market where industrial investment has accelerated in recent years. It will also provide R&D support to our regional customers through the Dubai office to further enhance the technology.
This is the company’s fifth office in addition to its three regional offices and headquarters in the UAE. It started in 2020 with Erith Specialized Solutions LLC in Hamriyah Free Zone. In 2021, the group created a second business unit, Erith Mechanical and Engineering Trading Equipment LLC in Dubai, followed by an eponymous branch in Abu Dhabi.

Last year, the group established Erith Engineering Solutions LLP in India. Despite being a small and medium enterprise (SME), Erith Group invested AED4 million ($1.09 million) this year in Erith Industries FZ LLC, the manufacturing arm of Ras Al Khaimah. The plant is expected to start producing industrial seals and gaskets later this year.
Erith Group was established in 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic with only nine professionals. It has grown since then, while others are downsizing the business into a sustainable, responsible business that is recession- and pandemic-proof. Since the establishment of the company, it has been hiring professionals to expand its business. Today, more than 30 professionals work for the company, reflecting strong growth momentum.
“Despite challenging times, we have successfully established ourselves in the industrial sealing and gasketing solutions market, supporting the oil, gas, power, utilities and industrial sectors, and have grown since our founding in 2020 – At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic,” Erith Group CEO Richard Edwin said.
Export to 64 countries
“Since starting operations two years ago, our export products have penetrated to 64 countries. Due to the strong growth in exports, we felt the need to develop a factory to manufacture and export these products globally from our UAE hub.
“Our factory is in line with the UAE’s vision for economic diversification and supports the government’s ‘Make it in the Emirates’ industrial development programme. If all goes well, the UAE will be the world’s leading industrial sealer thanks to our early investment in the UAE’s economy and gasket product manufacturers.
“In this way, we will create greater domestic value, create jobs, reduce imports, and help the country earn foreign currency through our exports from our manufacturing plant. This plant is our vision to transform the global industrial seal and gasket industry a part of.”
The manufacturing plant is built on 6,500 square feet of land in the Al Hamra Industrial Estate. The first phase of the factory will be put into operation in December this year, followed by the second phase of development. Construction of the plant started in April this year. The plant will go into production in the next few months. Erith Industries FZ LLC will be producing industrial gaskets by December 2022 with the help of computer and CNC machinery managed by up to 7-9 highly skilled personnel. — arab trade news agency
