[ad_1]

Dubai Culture has expanded the admission-free categories to the Al Shindagha Museum and the Etihad Museum to include senior citizens and valid ICOM membership card holders.

This step is in keeping with Dubai’s cultural desire to keep pace with international best practices in the museum sector and helps support Dubai as the host of ICOM 2025. Through this initiative, the Authority continues to promote the intellectual and cultural advancement of the emirate in order to strengthen Dubai’s position on the global cultural stage.

Abdulla Mohammed Alfalasi, Director of the Etihad Museum, Said: “This decision is the result of our efforts to consolidate the museum’s position in the emirate to keep up with global best practices. It is also based on our commitment to members of society, especially the elderly from whom we learn experience and knowledge, to strengthen Their status in society and emphasizes their key role in the sustainable development of the emirate. ICOM is a global organization specializing in museums, and its members include nearly 50,000 museum experts that we aspire to attract.”
