Dubai Culture launches new experience at Etihad Museum

The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has launched a series of programmes at the Etihad Museum through which it will showcase a fascinating range of events and activities celebrating the rich heritage of the UAE.

Curated by Alserkal Advisory, the series offers museum visitors an extraordinary cultural and entertainment experience throughout the year.

The initiative falls within the framework of Dubai Culture’s commitment to increasing socio-cultural accessibility and encourages active participation in the emirate’s cultural and creative scene through participation in programmes of museums and heritage sites that celebrate local cultural heritage.

Khulood Khaled Al Nuaimi, Etihad Museums Events Manager, said the Etihad Museums project, scheduled to launch on 7 October, will run until June 2023 and will celebrate the thriving culture that shapes the UAE through inspiring events Creative sound for the scene. The story of its founding.

Film Screenings: The program includes a monthly schedule of activities and events that enhance the visitor experience through engaging conversations and perspectives. The programme begins with a series of screenings titled “Museum Films”, which includes a group of films by Emirati and resident artists and international directors, screened in the museum’s auditorium throughout the programme.

Museum Lectures: The programme also includes the Museum Lecture Series, where speakers from different disciplines will participate in a rich dialogue session aimed at disseminating insights to attendees on a range of topics including the UAE’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage, impact and meaning in society of museums, and the design dimension of cultural infrastructure.

Workshops, PechaKucha and Entertainment

In addition, the museum hosts a series of events aimed at enriching knowledge and developing skills, including workshops for adults in many creative fields such as calligraphy and painting. There will be fast-paced PechaKucha presentations, a presentation style showing 20 slides of only 20 seconds each: this format keeps content interesting and concise, allowing a broad range of topics to be presented in a concise manner.
