Dubai Customs launches a comprehensive guide to customs services during Expo 2020 Dubai – Dubai Blog

[ad_1]

Dubai Customs has issued a comprehensive guide for all the services and facilities it provides, enabling traders and companies that choose Dubai as their preferred investment destination to increase their trade and increase their income.

This guide will be introduced to the participants and exhibitors of EXPO2020 Dubai.

In the process of national efforts and preparations to meet the requirements of bold plans and agendas including the UAE Centennial and 50th Anniversary in 2071, Dubai Customs has established a complex network of smart channels that adds great value to any commercial activity .

Including the Smart EXPO2020 customs channel, dedicated to providing services to exhibitors at global exhibitions. This channel is part of the 2013 UAE nomination portfolio to host EXPO2020 in Dubai. The customs centers of Jebel Ali and Al Maktoum International Airport will follow the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to help the Expo complete all customs transactions around the clock to ensure Simplified and fast customs process.

The smart EXPO customs channel will facilitate all customs transactions for participants of Expo 2020 Dubai,” said Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs. “We have many excellent services that can help promote trade and investment, including authorized economic operators (AEO). ) Plan, which was launched at the federal level to strengthen foreign trade. At present, there are 80 company members in AEO, and its foreign trade volume has reached 20 billion dirhams. Dubai Customs has also launched a cross-border e-commerce platform to attract more companies and investments into the emirate. This is the region’s first initiative, and its goal is to increase the company’s e-commerce share in local and regional e-commerce to 24 billion dirhams by 2024. Participants can now benefit from the second phase of the iDeclare application and the potential of artificial intelligence it has. The app enables users to understand the goods they need to declare, just take a picture of the goods, and then display the HS code and any customs fees required. Users can also learn about the services and convenience facilities provided by Dubai International Airport, including restaurants, free zones, exits, etc. The app helps passengers pass through the red channel and complete customs transactions in less than four minutes.

“All these facilities will not affect security. We have implemented many advanced systems and programs to help further ensure border security and simplify trade activities. These include smart risk engines, smart audit systems, integrated B2G business channels, and smart workspaces. These complex systems will help ensure that 97.8% of customs transactions are completed automatically without human intervention.”

In May last year, Dubai Customs organized the 5th WCO Global AEO Conference in cooperation with the World Customs Organization and the Federal Customs Service of the United Arab Emirates. Nearly 100 speakers and 12,000 experts from 160 countries attended the conference. This is the first AEO meeting held in the region.
