A new agreement signed in Dubai will allow the authorities to explore the development of urban ropeways.
The Dubai Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) has signed an agreement with French transportation expert MND, which is a leading company in the ropeway industry.

The CABLINE system developed by MND aims to provide a “new experience” for air transportation.
CABLINE aims to integrate and connect the city’s existing multimodal transport network. The fully automatic unmanned transportation system has a self-propelled cab that can move on ropes at speeds of up to 45 km/h.

It uses a minimalist infrastructure, easy to integrate, and takes up minimal space. It is more beautiful, quieter and more energy-efficient than traditional ropeway transportation.
CABLINE makes maintenance easier to “guarantee the high availability of the urban transportation system and provide the best service for passengers.”
