Passengers who choose to travel to other emirates must continue to show proof of vaccination as previously described.

According to travel guidelines issued by the UAE and Indian Airlines on Tuesday, travelers to Dubai do not need to show their vaccination records before entering the country. After the UAE authorities announced the resumption of visit visas for tourists vaccinated against Covid from August 30, a new travel update was issued.

However, the above regulations only apply to passengers arriving in Dubai. Raheesh Babu, group chief operating officer of online travel agency Musafir.com, said: “We are still waiting for the final standard operating procedures for Etihad Airways tourists.”

Tourist visa holders have already begun to arrive in Dubai. Khaleej Times interviewed tourists who arrived in Dubai early on Tuesday morning. He added: “However, I don’t need to show proof of vaccination anywhere. They just underwent the pre-travel RT-PCR test and another rapid test at the airport. They had a third test at DXB after getting off the plane. After receiving the test results, Tiwari went to Abu Dhabi with his family.

“We stayed at the Dubai-Abu Dhabi border and provided all our documents, including our lease contract. The border authorities updated the details into the system. Once we got permission, it took an hour and we went home. My family will undergo a 10-day home quarantine in Abu Dhabi and ensure that we comply with all regulations issued by the government,” he said.
