Dubai flights: UAE residents from 10 countries/regions need GDRFA, ICA approval-News

[ad_1]

Passengers are required to present a rapid PCR test report with a QR code at the departure airport within six hours before departure

UAE residents can now travel to Dubai without prior approval from the General Directorate of Residency and Aliens Affairs (GDRFA) or the Federal Agency for Identity and Citizenship (ICA)-with the exception of travelers from 10 Asian and African countries.

Emirates said that residents from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Vietnam and Zambia must obtain GDRFA and ICA approval before flying to the UAE.

However, this does not apply to travelers holding other visas, such as newly issued residence or work visas, short-term or long-term visas, visitor visas or visas on arrival.

Passengers from the above 10 countries/regions must present a negative Covid-19 PCR test certificate with a QR code within 48 hours after the sample is collected by an approved medical institution.

They also need to show a rapid PCR test report with a QR code so that they can be tested at the departure airport within six hours of departure.

At the same time, passengers traveling from countries/regions other than these 10 destinations must be tested within 72 hours before departure and obtain a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test certificate.

The Dubai-based airline said that if the Covid-19 test requirements are not completed, passengers travelling from Bangladesh, Nigeria, Vietnam, Zambia and Indonesia to Dubai as their final destination will not be accepted for travel.

In addition, UAE nationals returning to Dubai from any country are exempt from the pre-departure Covid-19 PCR test requirement, but must undergo PCR test upon arrival. Other exemptions include non-UAE nationals accompanying family members of UAE nationals in the same class, domestic workers accompanying UAE national sponsors, children under 12 years of age, and passengers with moderate to severe disabilities.
