Dubai gears up for World Coffee Show with record numbers

The second edition of World of Coffee Dubai 2023 has received registrations from more than 1,000 international, regional and local companies and brands from more than 30 countries around the world. This exceeds the number of participants in the previous edition.

Organized by DXB Live, Dubai World Trade Center’s (DWTC) integrated event management and experience agency, and the Global Specialty Coffee Association, the three-day event will take place at Za’beel 5 and 6 of DWTC’s venues from 11-13 January 2023. hall.

This is in line with Dubai’s long-standing commitment to provide entrepreneurs, investors, tourists and residents with a suitable business and living environment. The presence of international experts and professionals at trade events in Dubai reflects the international community’s confidence in the city’s key role in increasing regional and global trade.

A recent study by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce revealed that coffee retail sales in the UAE reached AED 3.6 billion (US$ 980 million) and sales volume reached 28,400 tonnes, reflecting a CAGR of 8.3% in value and a CAGR of 8.3% in sales. According to a report by the Business Registration and Licensing Department of the Dubai Economy and Tourism Department, there are currently 615 coffee trading companies in Dubai, confirming the city’s prominence in the sector. Several leading international brands will be participating in World of Coffee Dubai 2023, as Dubai is an important hub for the coffee trade, many regional and local brands as well as UAE-based brands will be exhibiting here.

These include Caffinated, Coffee Planet, BonCafe, Brewing Gadgets, Pennant Coffee Roasters, CoffeeDesk, Kerchanshe, La Marzocco Middle East, La Marquise, Arabic Coffee, Stree and Kahraman, among others.

Some of the most famous Italian brands participating in the event included Simonelli, Eureka, Fiorenzato, Gruppo Cimbali, Mazzer Luigi Spa, Rancilio Group SPA and ITC Italy. The exhibition will also feature participation from Anacafe, Finca El Morito and others from Guatemala; as well as Mullege and Eset Coffee from Ethiopia. Rwanda will have its own national pavilion at the event, while around 40 US companies and brands have registered to exhibit.

Exhibiting countries include Brazil, Greece, France, Colombia, Turkey, Switzerland, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Romania, Singapore, Qatar, Panama, Oman, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Jordan, Indonesia, India, Georgia, Denmark, Czech Republic , Bolivia, Belgium, Austria, China, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

Double the number of participants

Last year, the exhibition received more than 6,000 professional visitors. Trade visitor numbers are expected to double this year due to increased global participation and easing of travel restrictions.

Visitors to the event can enjoy several different exciting events and activities. The exhibit will include a Brew Bar where visitors can delve into the world of coffee and experience delicious beverages prepared and served by volunteer baristas.

The Cupping Room will offer the service of tasting, evaluating and comparing coffee variants and determining product quality and potential. The Roastery Village will enable the micro-roastery to cater to customers who can sample roasts and brewed coffee.
