The list explores the city center and covers the city’s safety, neighborhoods, attractions, and landmarks
Dubai was named the fifth best city in the world in the global report. Resonance Consultancy’s “World’s Best Cities Report 2021” places the emirate ahead of cities such as Tokyo, Singapore and Los Angeles.
According to a tweet posted by the Dubai Government Media Office on Sunday, the list explored the city center, covering the city’s safety, neighborhoods, attractions and landmarks.
The report summed up Dubai as “an attractive blend of top experiences, Arab traditions and luxury shopping.”
The report said: “You can take the elevator to the top of the world’s tallest building for a bird’s eye view, bet on a pony in the world’s richest horse race, and pose for a photo in front of the world’s tallest fountain.”
“These experiences are not accidental: the city reinvented itself again in the 2010s… as an international tourist and business destination. This helps attract the highest proportion of foreign-born populations in any city in the world, and they are a sharp group of people. Ranked 23rd in terms of global educational achievement.”
The report said that despite the “economic development and the influx of new residents,” Dubai’s rating as the safest city in the world is “really surprising”.
It also lists the city’s upcoming attractions: the iconic Museum of the Future; the world’s largest observation wheel, Al Ain Dubai; and a new John Wick roller coaster that is part of the Motiongate Dubai theme park.
