The service is currently limited to Wizz Air passengers
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a new agreement to transport passengers between Dubai and Abu Dhabi International Airport. The service will connect the airport with Dubai’s Ibn Battuta bus station via an “express bus route”.
RTA has signed an express intercity agreement with Capital Express. Currently, the service is limited to Wizz Air passengers. The bus fare is included in the ticket, and coaches on this route will be equipped with passenger luggage facilities.
The RTA will provide the parking spaces and infrastructure needed to facilitate services within Dubai. The RTA will monitor and supervise the workflow at the Ibn Battuta bus station to ensure the safety of all passengers at the station. Capital Express For Rapid Intercity will handle the safety of passengers on the bus.

Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, chief executive of the RTA Public Transport Authority, said the agreement will “dramatically enhance” the Dubai-Abu Dhabi transport service.
“Joining forces with the private sector will strengthen the RTA’s public-private partnership, which the authority has been seeking as a means of exchanging experiences and enhancing its public service offerings. It includes expanding and enhancing the UAE’s transport network by providing bus services within the UAE Cities including Abu Dhabi,” Bahrozyan said.
Eyad Ishaq Al Ansari, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Express For Rapid Intercity, said: “Direct connectivity between the two emirates’ key areas, including Abu Dhabi International Airport, will attract more tourists to Abu Dhabi and provide tourism facilities, thereby Elevate the experience for both tourists. Same as aviation.”
