A security guard’s casual benevolence to a limping, dehydrated gazelle won hearts and minds on the Internet.
When Transguard Group employee Ajit Jalhari was on a routine patrol around a golf course in Dubai, he spotted the exhausted animal and immediately stopped his carriage to take care of it.
Due to the relentless heat, the gazelle ran out of energy, and when Jahari met it, the gazelle was limping. The guard helped the animal into his car so that it could rest under the shady roof of the carriage and gave it some water to drink.
The heartbreaking incident was recorded in the video and shared by residents.

“Thank you everyone for seeing this video and the people who posted it…I really appreciate it,” said Jalhari, a native of Nepal who has worked at Transguard Group for six years.
“We know that our employees are always surpassing themselves, so we are very happy to see the response to this video,” said Managing Director Greg Ward.
For Tim Mundell, Chief Security Officer of Transguard Group, Jalhari’s actions are a classic example of what it means to be a security guard.
“Our security team did much more than we thought, and Ajit’s behavior is an example of this. His kind deeds touched so many people and showed that a small act of sympathy and caring can be done. So far,” Mundell said at the ceremony.
“He accurately demonstrated what it means to be a Transguard security guard, and we are incredibly proud of the way he represents the company.”
At the ceremony, Jalhari received a certificate in recognition of his exemplary service to the UAE and its wildlife, and was named the best employee of the month.
For Jahari, who is still worrying about his sudden fame, taking care of the gazelle is his second nature, and he thinks it should be the second nature of everyone.
“We need to help anyone who has problems, whether it is humans or animals,” he declared, adding, “This is good for everyone, and it will save the world.”
