Dubai Taxi and the Canadian AI clean technology innovator BluWave-ai are committed to achieving the electrification and optimization of AI-enabled fleets.
Dubai Taxi is a division of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and is one of the world’s leading transportation entities at the forefront of global taxi electrification. In the past 3 years, Dubai Taxi has operated 200 electric taxis and plans to transform most of its fleet of more than 5,000 taxis into a low-emission, low-cost transportation network. The RTA has approved a long-term plan for zero emissions from public transport in Dubai by 2050. The city is the first government agency in the Middle East and North Africa to develop such a sustainable public transportation plan.
The partnership leverages BluWave-ai’s 9 US Patent and Trademark Office patents in the areas of energy optimization and electric fleets, plus Dubai’s taxi decarbonization plan, to gain insights from operational data and apply these insights On-site operations to reduce energy costs by maximizing the use of renewable energy.
Jean-Phillippe Linteau, Consul General of Canada in Dubai, said: “Dubai is an excellent market for the deployment of AI technology from leading Canadian innovators such as BluWave-ai. Continuous development plan. “
“As our electric vehicle fleet becomes an extension of the grid, Dubai Taxi’s partnership with BluWave-ai solutions will allow us to make the most of our data set.” Ammar Albraiki, Assistant Managing Director of Dubai Taxi, said: “Using real-time labor With intelligent systems to determine when vehicles can be dynamically charged and dispatched, we see a way to better monetize our investments in Tesla and electric taxi fleets.”
The first stage of the cooperation is the offline simulation stage, in which the AI model and offline system are built in the BluWave-ai EV fleet coordinator product. The system can be deployed in real-time operation for continuous system-level optimization. Once this initial phase is completed, Dubai Taxi will have all the indicators and systems required to deploy BluWave-ai EV Fleet Orchestrater, upgrading to system integration and network-wide deployment.
“With years of data, BluWave-ai can now help Dubai taxis understand how their taxis are used on the road,” said Devashish Paul, CEO of BluWave-ai. “Electric taxis are now static regardless of income. The charging schedule creates opportunities that make the potential profit margins of electric taxis impossible to achieve. Our artificial intelligence solutions help to better understand fleet charging and scheduling, and maximize the advantages of real-time operations.”
