Dubai is rolling out festivities that will allow residents and visiting fans to watch and enjoy the FIFA World Cup in Qatar’s lively hotspots, which include pop-up stores, open-air experiences and several fan zones where the games will be broadcast live.
Despite Dubai’s role as a “gateway” for World Cup fans to Doha (30 minutes’ flight from Dubai), the city’s hotels and airport are welcoming sports enthusiasts with their football-themed fan zones, sports lounges and family-friendly destinations, Including many first-time visitors to the area.
The Dubai Calendar, part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and the official listing of events in the city, announced the highlights of the Dubai Football Fan Zone. The BudX FIFA Fan Festival in Dubai Harbor will be one of only six international flagship FIFA fan festivals worldwide. Others will be in London, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Seoul. The Fan Zone is large enough to accommodate up to 10,000 people and all games will be shown on a massive 330 sqm screen with 4D audio. Fans can also enjoy live entertainment, DJ performances, food and drinks, games and in-game events.
To create a family-friendly atmosphere, Dubai Expo City will host one of the largest football fan zones in the city. This large football-themed fan city will be divided into two parts. The family-friendly space at Jubilee Park, which can accommodate up to 10,000 guests, will open on November 20. Additionally, the 2,500-guest Al Wasl Elite Experience will open on December 3rd. As part of the festivities, Fan City will host exciting activities including table games, penalty kick activations and face painting for kids, as well as live performances from local DJs and food trucks.
The Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, located within Dubai Marina, will create a “Super Fan Zone” for the tournament. The outdoor venue will have multiple screens and separate fan areas with different amenities. The destination offers stunning views of Ain Dubai with no age restrictions or entry fees.
ISD Plaza – an open-air venue within Dubai Sports City – promises to provide 5,000 football fans with an unforgettable matchday experience. Multiple giant screens will be propped up around the area, ensuring optimal viewing from every location throughout the game. Fans can also book a spacious VIP area with gourmet meals and butler service, perfect for corporate bookings or those looking to indulge in an outing.
For a dedicated fan area on the beach, soccer fanatics can head to Zero Gravity, where all the action will be played on a giant screen. Supporters can cheer on their favorite teams scoring and defending goals during games.
Those looking forward to football’s most exciting game can look forward to McGettigan’s hilarious, action-packed Fanzone at the Dubai Media City Amphitheater. The beloved Irish hangout went all out, installing the UAE’s largest screen in the open air to give fans supporting the Three Lions the ultimate experience. The Fan Village will feature a plethora of food trucks, kids’ activities, soccer events and daily live music.
Events and accommodation hotspot JA Jebel Ali Beach Hotel’s vibrant Soul Beach will be all set for live football. The outdoor beach club combines great music with delicious snacks, and with football, you’ll have an incredible sports experience.
Fans can enjoy the excitement as multimedia platform Press Play takes over Precision Football, a state-of-the-art facility at Ibn Batuta Mall and transforms it into a huge fan zone – Precision Football’s Press Play can seat up to 3,500 guests. Visit Visitors will also enjoy 14 live performances by British grime artists Lethal Bizzle and JME, drum and bass band Rudimental and more.

Against the majestic backdrop of the Museum of the Future, the screens located in the outdoor area of the Emirates Towers will provide a stunning venue to watch the action. Featuring menus from some of Dubai’s most famous restaurants, the Football Park at Gate Avenue DIFC is an upscale fan zone that offers a luxury viewing experience. The open-air destination will be an exquisite way for residents and visitors to enjoy the game, combining sports, entertainment and world-class dining.
Visitors can enjoy an exciting football game at one of the city’s most popular waterfront entertainment destinations. Barasti, Dubai’s renowned live sports hotspot, will do everything in its power to ensure fans have the time of their lives.
