Dubai Travel: Emirates suspends Nigeria flights until September 19-News

Dubai’s flagship airline Emirates Airlines announced on Friday that it will suspend flights to Nigeria until September 19.

An Emirates customer service representative announced the extension in response to a query on Twitter:

“Hello, Phola, our flights from Lagos will be further suspended until September 19. We are updating our website with this information. Thank you’

In early August, the airline issued a statement stating that Nigeria passenger flights will be suspended until September 5, 2021.

The airline stated that passengers who have been to or transited through Nigeria in the past 14 days will not be allowed to take any Emirates flights to Dubai, adding that the affected flight bookings have been cancelled, the statement said.

It’s worth noting that Nigeria is One of the few affected countries The lack of rapid PCR testing facilities at the airport hinders passengers’ travel plans in the UAE, although the UAE allows residents and tourists from six countries to travel.
