The crown prince said that by 2021, the economy will grow by 3.1%.
Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said on Tuesday that Dubai’s economy is expected to grow by 3.1% this year and 3.4% in 2022.
He said that thanks to the instructions and vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the emirate has overcome the global shock wave of the pandemic.
The crown prince wrote on Twitter: “Our vision for the future encompasses key global partnerships and the vitality of our national talent.”
At the end of last month, Sheikh Mohammed assured UAE nationals and residents that the worst period of the Covid-19 pandemic has passed. He said on Twitter: “During the pandemic, the UAE worked as a team, making the country one of the best countries in the world to fight Covid-19.”
Since August 24, the number of people with Covid-19 has been well below 1,000, and the UAE is expected to vaccinate 100% of its residents by the end of the year.
